There is always a vision that led to the formation for an organization. It may never have been distinguished. It may never have been quantified or described. It may never have been shared and aligned upon with even the people who have the most at stake in the business. Without a strategic vision that is aligned on by everyone, people are reduced to doing a good job, making money and staying out of trouble. Nothing gets fulfilled. People are left unsatisfied. Most strategic visions are goal oriented and therefore make no difference in people’s current actions and situations.
As a solution, leaders try to impose a vision from on top. This never works, and, at best, people will repeat the corporate slogan to be “good employees.”
A true corporate vision inspires people to take action consistent with that corporate vision RIGHT NOW. People see the wisdom, benefit, and value of that vision and find their self-expression in fulfilling that vision. The corporate vision belongs to everyone or no one. That’s
the truth.
We design processes and facilitate meetings in which a true organizational vision can be created and powerfully aligned upon by all. In a series of meetings and group discussions, the vision is implementation of the vision and the structures necessary to ensure its success is required to fulfill on current and future organizational planning and implementation.
